Nataliya Oryshchuk
Originally from Ukraine, Nataliya is a Kyiv National University of Theatre Arts graduate. Now she is a Christchurch-based theatre-maker, playwright, writer, and founder of NO Productions Theatre Company (2012). In New Zealand, she graduated from the University of Canterbury (B.A. Honours, English), Massey University (Master of Creative Writing) and the University of Auckland (Master of Arts, History). Nataliya’s creative non-fiction stories have been published in Aotearoa and international journals and anthologies. Her stage plays have been produced nationally and internationally; she is the winner of the Playwrights Association of New Zealand competition (2018), Heritage Literary Award (Short Prose, 2022), and a recipient of the 2023 Michael King Writer’s Residency.
