A M Peihopa
AM Peihopa is the whanau and pen name of AnnaMarie Christiansen (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Te Rino). After decades of ruminating about the Māori diaspora, she is creatively imagining this so-called liminal space. Currently working on a novel set in 19th century Tai Tokerau, Christiansen lives in Hawaiʻi with her husband, two daughters and one pup. She teaches world and Pacific literatures at BYU Hawaii.
